Chinese BBQ Spareribs

This recipe is superbly mouth-watering and delicious! After we took one bite, it left my hubby and I speechless. A definite must try! Finger-licking required!!! :-)

Ingredients:
2 lbs. Spareribs
Salt, Sugar and Pepper
4 Tbsp Honey
2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
2 tsp Hoisin Sauce
2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
2 Tbsp Sweet Rice Wine
2 tsp Chinese Five Spice Powder
1 tsp White Pepper
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 shallot, minced

Directions:
Sprinkle salt, sugar and pepper onto the spareribs.

Mix all the remaining ingredients together. Pour about half of the marinade over the spareribs. Marinate for 2 to 24 hours. Heat the remaining marinade over medium-low heat until sauce thickens. Set aside.

Place spareribs on rack in a roasting pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. Baste with marinade sauce, then turn over and bake for another 30 minutes. Turn it over again, pour the remaining sauce and broil for a few minutes until glaze is bubbly and starting to crust over. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a couple minutes before cutting into pieces. Serve over rice or noodles.

*The marinade can be double or tripled depending on the size of your meat. This can also be used on strips of pork shoulder, pork belly or chicken. Baked or grilled.
