Finger Lickin' Chicken BBQ
It's party time at our house once again and this time I wanted to grill some Chicken BBQ with my homemade Barbeque Sauce. This is finger-lickin' good! Super moist and tender chicken with a crispy and saucy outer skin!
For our party, I tripled this recipe which serves more than a dozen people!
Ingredients:
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 Tbsp butter
1 cup Heinz ketchup
1/4 cup packed brown sugar or honey or Maple Syrup
2 Tbsp Worcertershire Sauce
2 tsp celery seed
1 tablespoon prepared stone ground mustard or regular mustard will do
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 dashes hot pepper sauce or Tabasco Sauce
8 large chicken pieces, bone-in with skin (breasts, legs, thighs or wings)
Directions:
Rinse chicken pieces in cold water. Remove excess fat and unwanted skin. Parboil chicken pieces in a large stock pan for 20-30 minutes. Drain chicken and set aside. You can save the chicken stock for other uses.
In a saucepan, saute the garlic in butter until tender. Add the rest of the dry and wet ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat and set aside.
Grill the chicken, covered over medium heat for 30 minutes, turning occasionally. Baste with sauce. Grill 15 minutes longer or until juices run clear. Continue basting during the last 15 minutes of cooking. Serve with any extra sauce you set aside for dipping.
You'll need lots of napkins or paper towel to clean your fingers. Enjoy!!!
