Philippine-Style Beef Steak

The other day, I got these huge sweet onions with its leaves still intact from the Farmers market and all of the sudden I got this craving for a beef steak, Philippine Style, just like how my Grandmother and Mom used to make it.

With few simple ingredients, you'll have yourself a nice and juicy steak in no time. This is great served over steamed rice and a big glass of ice cold Coke. Hmmmmm....this dish brings a lot of great memories growing up! :-)

Ingredients:
2 lbs of London Broil, thinly sliced and tenderized
Soy Sauce
Lemon Juice
Garlic, chopped
1 large Sweet Onions with green leaves, thinly sliced
Olive Oil

Directions:
Cut London Broil into thin slices, then tenderize with a mallet. Place in a container. Marinate in soy sauce and lemon juice for at least a couple of hours or overnight.

Heat skillet with olive oil. Drain all the juices out from the slices of meat. Set the juice aside. Brown the thinly sliced steaks in olive oil. Set aside. Then saute in onions and garlic until translucent in the same pan with all the extra juices from the steak. Return the steaks back in the pan. Add the remaining juices.

Let it cook for a little bit, then add green onion leaves as a garnish. Serve over steamed rice.
