Tonkatsu

Tonkatsu is simply a Japanese style deep fried breaded pork cutlets, which is served with a thick brown sauce (a Japanese Worcestershire sauce). This is great served with steamed vegetables and white rice with black sesame seeds on top! This recipe can also be altered with chicken or beef.

I love Tonkatsu and it's one of those Bento lunch box I order at Japanese Restaurants aside from the usual Seafood Tempura or Sushi boxes.

Enjoy!

Ingredients:
1 lb of Boneless Pork Chops
2 eggs
1 cup flour
1 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
Vegetable Oil
Salt and Pepper
Tonkatsu Sauce

Directions:
Tenderize pork chops with a mallet. Season with salt and pepper. Prepare three separate stations of beaten eggs, flour and Panko bread crumbs. Dip pork chops in flour, eggs, then dredge into the Panko bread crumbs. Repeat for each chops. Heat skillet with vegetable oil. Fry breaded pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
