Mini Gourmet Cheeseburgers
Ahhhh, it's one of those nights when you just want something quick and easy for dinner. I finally just put our outdoor grill out of commission until next season and here I am thinking of burgers already. How ironic? These beef patties would have been great grilled, but my stove top griddle works just fine for grilling indoors. So with these easy steps and simple ingredients, you'll have yourself a nice dinner in no time.
Mouthwatering and juicy burgers...this would have been a good appetizer for parties...hmmmm....maybe on a Halloween Party perhaps? Or after a day of picking pumpkins or apples? Pick a day, any day...burgers are always fun to eat ;-) I think I'm the only Filipino that craves burgers all the time...hahaha!
Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef
3 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
2 shallots, chopped finely
Garlic Mustard
American Cheese
Tomatoes, sliced
Lettuce or Spring Mix
Mini Potato Rolls
Salt and Pepper
Directions:
In a large bowl, add ground beef and mix in chopped shallots, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Mix well and let it sit in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or so. Then mold them into small patties (about 2-3 inch round balls, then flattened). Heat up your outdoor or indoor grill. You can also use a stove top griddle pan or electric griddle. Cook the meat patties for about 6-8 minutes on each side. While the last side is cooking halfway through, add American cheese on top and let it melt until the burger is done.
In a meantime, toast your rolls, then spread garlic mustard on the bottom of the roll, then followed with a layer of greens. Add the grilled burger on top and finish it up with a fresh slice of tomato. Season with salt and pepper. Serve while hot. Great serve with french fries or sweet potato fries ;-)
